Ewan binged through all 10 Planet of the Apes films, a range of disappointing 2024 releases like Arcadian, Unfrosted, Humane, Garfield, Prom Dates & Founders Day. He liked Turtles All the Way Down though. Lachlan watched Late Night With the Devil and struggles his way through a temporary set up this week.

IT'S LACHLAN'S BIRTHDAY! This week we discuss the Nominations for the 96th Academy Awards. What were the Snubs and Surprises? One of the films that unfortunately did not make the Final 5 for the Internation Feature Category is Aki Kaurismäki's Fallen Leaves, which is the film we are going to review in detail. The Sundance Film Festival has wrapped and Ewan caught some films virtually that he'll tell you about and Lachlan started True Detective: Night Country.
2024 Most Anticipated
Ewan, Lachlan, and Kevin go over the release date calendar for 2024 and tell you what they are looking forward to the most. From Dune Part II, Mickey 17, and Nosferatu to a fourth Despicable Me movie I guess... there are a ton of sequels, prequels, and spin-offs as expected but also a bunch of exciting filmmakers premiering their work this year.
