MAY DECEMBER is Deliciously Awkward
It's that time of the year when the films that premiered at Cannes finally release for all audiences worldwide and among them is this week's movie May December. Ewan shares his love for Todd Haynes filmmaking while Lachlan loved the movie more for its technical achievements rather than narrative ones. Ewan also caught some Christmas-themed movies like The Holdovers and «It's a Wonderful Knife» and they both sat through the horrible Family Switch, why? - they still don't know. Lachlan (re)watched a couple more Ridley Scott movies including Thelma & Louise and Gladiator and is very excited for the live-action Fallout series that just premiered its first trailer. Finally, Furiosa, The Boys Season 4, and House of the Dragon Season 2 all premiered their first trailers this week.
Hit or Flop? - KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON
Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon is finally out and Ewan and Lachlan can finally share their spoiler thoughts on the film that they caught earlier this year in Cannes. They also discuss what Scorsese's Best Film is and if Cinema is Indeed Dying. Lachlan rewatched both Scream 4 and Blade Runner 2049 and they both watched Totally Killer. Ewan watched Bill Burr's directorial debut Old Dads and Reptile on Netflix and binged through the latest season of Big Mouth. He's also got some thoughts on the rather disappointing second season of Loki and praises The Boys spin-off Gen V
Why the BlackBerry Movie Is Flying Under Your Radar
Ewan and Lachlan have an in-depth discussion about movie rating sites like Letterboxd, IMDb, Metacritic & Rotten Tomatoes and discuss how they affect or even potentially harm the online film community. Lachlan rewatched last year's Best Picture Winner Everything Everywhere All At Once and Ewan returned from a Trade Show in Locarno to share his thoughts on some of the films he missed in Cannes & the upcoming Disney film Theatre Camp. Finally, the two review BlackBerry and how it stands out uniquely in the wave of IP and product movies.
